Country music star Taylor Swift again this morning continued her string of award nominations, but for the second awards show in a row, she wasn’t the most nominated.
Berks County native Swift got Country Music Television Awards nominations for Video of the Year and Female Video of the Year, both for “You Belong With Me,” and Collaborative Video of the Year for “Best Days of Your Life” with Kellie Pickler.
Voting begins today for the ninth annual awards, country music’s only fan-voted award show. Winners will be announced in Nashville on June 9 at live broadcast of the awards ceremony on CMT.
Getting the most nominations was Jason Aldean, Lady Antebellum and Sugarland, with four each. Other artists who got three were Brooks & Dunn, Kenny Chesney, Brad Paisley and Carrie Underwood.
Last year, Swift won two of the four CMT awards for which she was nominated -- video of the year and female video of the year, both for “Love Story.”
Swift was announced March 2 as a nominee for five Academy of Country Music Association Awards, including Entertainer of the Year, but that was less than the nominations for Lady Antebellum, with seven nominations, and Miranda Lambert and Carrie Underwood, with six each.
